A new biodegradable seed carried design inspired by the self-drilled behavior of Europium seeds has a higher implantation success rate than that of Erodium seeds, improving the effectiveness of aerial seeding to address agricultural and environmental stresses in degraded regions. The seed carrier has coiled tails attached that unwind when moistened and carry seeds as large as white bark pine trees, with an 80% success rate of getting seeds into the ground on flat land, reducing risk of blowing away or being eat by animals.
